ZXMOTO’s first WorldSSP weekend delivered an immediate milestone: championship points, front-row speed and a valuable foundation for the races ahead.

Points in the first race

Federico Caricasulo rode a consistent opening race and moved into the points late in the contest, securing fourteenth place on the final lap. The finish gave ZXMOTO its first two WorldSSP championship points.

Valentin Debise had already demonstrated the 820RR’s pace by qualifying on the front row and fighting near the podium before a braking error interrupted his Race 1 challenge.

A foundation for the season

Rapidly changing weather complicated Race 2 and forced both riders into an early tyre change. The final positions did not reflect the speed shown during practice and qualifying.

The team nevertheless left Australia with its first objective achieved, useful race mileage and proof that the new 820RR programme had the potential to fight near the front.
